Valmiki(Gaddalakonda Ganesh) Review:Varun shines in the average Gangster Drama

Ratings:2.5/5

Story: Ganesh(Varun Tej) is a bad ass goon in the town.Actor Atharvaa is a passionate film director who wants to debut with a gangster film. They both come across each other and become close. But,due to Gaddalakonda Ganesh behavior and his chaos,Atharvaa is unable to complete his film. Will he be able to complete?

Analysis: Atharvaa is shown as a struggling director who is determined to start of his career with a Gangster film. The first half is all about Atharvaa and Ganesh journey. Varun’s performance as Gaddalakonda Ganesh is mesmerizing. He has again proved his acting capabilities by selecting a different genre. Interval episode is good and few Comedy scenes click but becomes repetitive as it moves goes on.The second half is about Gaddalakonda Ganesh’s flashback where we can see Pooja Hegde. Her role is not lengthy ,director Harish made it short as he concentrated more on the life of Ganesh. Bgm’s ,elevations are there to attract the audience ,but as movie moves on,it looses grip.Songs are not that great except the 1982 blockbuster Shoban Babu Sridevi song “Velluvachi Godaramma” which will make the family audience feel nostalgic.Screenplay and direction is not up-to the mark as story becomes weak as it goes further.Director Harish will get full marks on building the character of Gaddalakonda Ganesh.

Verdict:With Theatrical value at 25cr,the movie may end up as average commercial flick as big movies are lined from 1st week of October.
